"We are so sorry for your loss. Thank you for allowing this terrible thing to be used as a tool for learning for our students. I can honestly say that this is the most impactful display that I have ever seen. We had many comments about the display from both parents and students. Our parents were thankful that we were able to provide this opportunity. The students were equally as thankful. This definitely had a huge impact on our school and community. Thank you for turning such an awful tragedy into a lasting tool for education."

"Thank you Lynn, for what you are doing for our communities and what you continue to do for our state. If it wasn't for you being proactive on this topic, things would continue to get worse and the message would never get through. Even though it was a terrible tragedy that could have very easily been avoided, your family is making something GREAT out of it and TRULY making a difference in the fight against drunk driving."
- Local law enforcement, to Lynn Mickelson, after a very emotional talk at a school
The Deutscher Display is available for law enforcement agencies to use at schools, conferences or community events to highlight the tragic consequences of drinking and driving. Since 2013, the display has been in high demand in schools and at community events across North Dakota. The display often leaves people speechless as they view 18-month-old Brielle's car seat and diaper bag inside of the wrecked vehicle.
Allison Deutscher's father, Lynn Mickelson, has addressed several audiences to speak about the horrific event that changed the lives of so many people. Lynn focuses on the fact that this tragedy was 100% PREVENTABLE. He does not preach or lecture; instead, he focuses on making wise decisions when alcohol is involved. Lynn has a gift of creating an emotional connection with his audience - they often sit in silence throughout the presentation as he tells the story of his daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter. Due to the emotional toll of the presentations and the COVID pandemic, Lynn has cut down on presentations but is still willing to do some if the request works with his schedule. The display is available for schools, community groups and conferences from mid-April through October. Please contact us using the form below.
We will do our best to get back to you soon!
